Volleyball Recap: Morenci Comes Up Short

Morenci lost against Fountain Hills back in October of 2015 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Wildcats fell just short of the Falcons by a score of 2-1. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Leading Fountain Hills to victory were Lilly Miller and Ciarra Berry. Miller had 11 digs and two assists, while Berry had seven digs and one assist. Those seven digs gave Berry a new career-high.

Morenci's defeat dropped their record down to 4-10. As for Fountain Hills, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-12 record this season.

Morenci wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against St. David on the 11th. As for Fountain Hills, they have also already played their next match, a 2-1 victory against Marcos de Niza on the 11th.
