Baseball Game Preview: Wadena-Deer Creek Wolverines vs. Staples-Motley Cardinals

Wadena-Deer Creek is 7-2 against Staples-Motley since May of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Wolverines will be playing in front of their home fans against the Cardinals at 4:30 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

Wadena-Deer Creek fell victim to New York Mills and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They took a 4-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Eagles. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Staples-Motley's loss dropped their record down to 1-5-1. As for Wadena-Deer Creek, they now have a losing record of 3-4.
