Bear River entered their tilt with Nevada Union on Tuesday with four consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with five. They came out on top against the Miners by a score of 3-1. This was payback for the Bruins, who suffered a 3-0 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Bear River got the W, but it wasn't easy, at least in the third set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 26-24, 25-18, 28-30, 25-23.

Eden Cha paced Bear River's offense, picking up 18 kills. Cha got some help from Brooke Milligan and her 37 assists. Cha also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Halle Hayden, racking up five apiece.

Bear River's win bumped their record up to 5-0. As for Nevada Union, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.

Looking ahead, Bear River will head out on the road to face off against Placer at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Nevada Union, they will be playing at home against Pleasant Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
