Volleyball Recap: Basha Falls Short Against Ranked Perry + How To Watch

Basha faced Perry in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Bears fell just short of the Pumas by a score of 3-2. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Pumas this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-1 back in September.

Basha was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Perry work for it, especially in the second set. The final score came out to 24-26, 26-24, 17-25, 25-23, 15-7.

When it comes to explaining why Basha lost, don't look at Isla Little. Despite the final result, she had 16 digs and four assists. Little has been hot recently, having posted 11 or more digs the last four times she's played.

Leading Perry to victory were Campbell Pierratt and Braeley Norton. Pierratt had 14 assists and seven digs, while Norton had 31 digs and four aces. Those 31 digs gave Norton a new career-high.

Basha has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 17-11 record this season. As for Perry, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-15 record this season.
