Recap: Dayspring Christian Academy Lions vs. Timberlake Christian Tornadoes
It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Dayspring Christian Academy Lions had no problem doing just that on Monday. They managed a 43-38 victory over the Tornadoes. The victory was nothing new for Dayspring Christian Academy as they're now sitting on five straight.
Timberlake Christian lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Emma Luther, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 21 rebounds. Luther is crushing the rebound category: she's posted at least ten every time she's taken the court this season. Allie Mooney was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with six steals.
Dayspring Christian Academy pushed their record up to 10-2 with that victory, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Timberlake Christian, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last eight matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-14 record this season.
