Volleyball Recap: St. Vincent Beats Advance for Their Fifth Straight Win

While St. Vincent's win against Advance wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Indians had just enough and edged out the Hornets 3-2. Winning may never get old, but the Indians sure are getting used to it with their fifth in a row.

St. Vincent was actually outscored in aggregate across those five sets (106-104), but they still managed to win. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 22-25, 25-23, 17-25, 15-11.

Leading St. Vincent to victory were Callie Schnurbusch and Aubrey Emmendorfer. Schnurbusch had 34 digs, while Emmendorfer had 21 digs. Those 21 digs gave Emmendorfer a new career-high. Paige Leible also deserves some recognition as she had her first kill of the season.

St. Vincent's victory bumped their record up to 9-5-1. As for Advance, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-8 record this season.

St. Vincent didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 win against Grandview on the 25th. Advance has also already played their next contest (against Meadow Heights), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
