Volleyball Recap: Woodland Find Success

Woodland's tournament run continued when they took on Willows on Saturday. The Wolves came out on top against the Honkers by a score of 2-0. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Wolves.

Kate Fricke paced Woodland's offense, picking up eight kills. Fricke got some help from Harlee Sucevich and her 15 assists. Finally, Perla Pulido Robles kept Woodland's defense grounded, leading the team with four blocks.

Woodland's win bumped their record up to 8-3. As for Willows, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-9.

Coincidentally, Woodland and Willows will both be playing Chico the next time they take the court. The Honkers will head out to face the Panthers at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, while the Wolves will play them later in the day, at 11:00 a.m.
