The Monte Del Sol Charter Dragons's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their seventh straight loss. They fell 73-65 to Native American Community Academy. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Despite the loss, Monte Del Sol Charter still got an impressive performance from Devin Moore, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and 31 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Gursangat Bhandal, who scored 24 points along with four steals.
Monte Del Sol Charter's loss dropped their record down to 2-13. As for Native American Community Academy, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-8.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Monte Del Sol Charter won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Evangel Christian Academy/Oak Grove Classical Academy at 7:00 p.m. on January 26th. As for Native American Community Academy, they will head out on the road to challenge Estancia at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Estancia is out to stop a four-game streak of losses at home.
