Basketball Recap: Scituate Spartans vs. Achievement First Providence Falcons

The Scituate Spartans scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They blew past Achievement First Providence, posting a 65-35 victory at home. That 30 point margin sets a new team best for Scituate this season.

Scituate found their leader in underclassman Ryan Larsh, who dropped a double-double on 28 points and 11 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Larsh has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Caiden Reikhrud, who scored eight points along with six rebounds.

The win makes it two in a row for Scituate and bumps their season record up to 2-13. As for Achievement First Providence, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-12.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Scituate will face off against the Scarlet Knights at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Rhode Island (Exeter-West Greenwich is ranked 47th, while the Spartans are ranked 51st). Achievement First Providence's road trip will continue as they head out to face the PRIDE at 7:00 p.m. on February 2nd. Blackstone Valley Prep has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
