Newman Catholic and Northwood-Kensett are an even 4-4 against one another  since September of 2017, but  not for long. The Knights will head out on the road to  challenge  the Vikings  at 5:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. Newman Catholic will be strutting in after a  win while Northwood-Kensett will be coming in after a  defeat.
Newman Catholic took  a  three-set  loss the last time they faced off against Central Springs, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Knights had just enough and edged out the Panthers  2-1 on Saturday.
 Meanwhile, Northwood-Kensett was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Saturday as the team picked up their 12th straight  defeat. They took  a  2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Rockford.
 Newman Catholic is  on a roll lately: they've  won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record  this season. As for Northwood-Kensett, their loss dropped their record down to 1-12.
 Newman Catholic was able to grind out a solid  victory over Northwood-Kensett in their previous matchup  on Saturday, winning  2-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Knights since the  squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
