Basketball Preview: International Jaguars vs. Drew Dragons
International is 9-1 against the Dragons since May of 2021, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Wednesday. The International Jaguars will look to defend their home court against the Drew Dragons at 8:00 p.m. International is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last 12 games.
Last Saturday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, International beat the Owls 57-53.
In what's become a running theme this season, Drew gave their fans yet another huge win on Thursday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Jewish Community 68-30 at home. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Drew.
Bastian Rothenberg was nothing short of spectacular: he dropped a double-double on 15 points and ten rebounds. It was the first time this season that he scored 15 or more points. Dylan Radler was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with two blocks.
International is on a roll lately: they've won 15 of their last 16 games, which provided a nice bump to their 20-5 record this season. As for Drew, their victory bumped their record up to 14-12.
International strolled past the Dragons in their previous meeting two weeks ago by a score of 59-41. Will International repeat their success, or do the Dragons have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
