Basketball Recap: Heritage Christian Academy Makes It 11 in a Row at Home

Heritage Christian Academy had won ten straight home games dating back to last season and Addelynn Reid did her part to make it 11 on Saturday. The Heritage Christian Academy Lions breezed by the Excel Christian Academy Eagles to the tune of 57-26 thanks in part to Reid, who dropped a double-double on 23 points and 12 rebounds. She has been hot for a while, having posted eight or more boards the last 18 times she's played.

When it comes to explaining why Excel Christian Academy lost, don't look at Nayah Guillory. Despite the final result, she posted 14 points.

Heritage Christian Academy's victory bumped their record up to 12-1. As for Excel Christian Academy, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-10.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Heritage Christian Academy will square off against Community Christian on Thursday. Heritage Christian Academy is facing Community Christian at the right time seeing as Community Christian is stuck on an eight-game losing streak. As for Excel Christian Academy, they will challenge Christian Home Educators at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
