Basketball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Jude Morrison and Dj Cobban Lead Ozarks Christian Academy to Victory

Ozarks Christian Academy had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9.5 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Monday. The stars were shining brightly for them in a 75-56 win over the Mountain Home Christian Academy Eagles. The Guardians pushed the score to 63-33 by the end of the third, a deficit the Eagles cut but never quite recovered from.

Ozarks Christian Academy was led to victory by Dj Cobban and Jude Morrison. Cobban almost dropped a triple-double on 19 points, nine boards, and nine assists, while Morrison dropped a double-double on 24 points and 11 boards. Morrison's evening made it six games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Sam Mills was another key player, putting up 11 points and three steals.

Ozarks Christian Academy's victory bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Mountain Home Christian Academy, they dropped their record down to 0-5 with the loss, which was their 16th straight at home dating back to last season.

Ozarks Christian Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 46-44 win against Rolla HomeSchool on the 17th. As for Mountain Home Christian Academy, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Cotter at 6:30 p.m. on January 6, 2025.
