Carroll skates past Eastern with ease

Make it 12 blowout wins for the Carroll Cougars this season. They really took it to Eastern for the full four quarters, racking up a 72-32 win on the road. With Carroll ahead 44-22 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.

Carroll's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Alli Harness led the charge by scoring 21 points along with nine assists and seven steals. Harness has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last ten times she's played. Another player making a difference was Madison Wagner, who scored 20 points along with six rebounds and two steals.

Carroll is on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 13 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 17-3 record this season. As for Eastern, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost 11 of their last 14 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-13 record this season.

Carroll will head out on the road to face off against Tri-Central at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Tri-Central will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Indiana Rankings (they are ranked 275th, while Carroll is ranked 45th). As for Eastern, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Clinton Prairie at 7:30 p.m.
