 Fieldcrest came into Friday's   matchup having lost six straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They walked away with  a   7-2  win over the Deer Creek-Mackinaw Chiefs  on Friday. The  victory was just what Fieldcrest needed coming off of  a  14-0 loss in their prior  contest.
 For Deer Creek-Mackinaw's part,  Kate Schmidgall made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and  went 1-for-3 with a  triple, a  run,  and  an  RBI.
 Fieldcrest  made their fans wait, but they earned their first win of the season to make their record 1-5. As for Deer Creek-Mackinaw, they have  been struggling recently as they've  lost three of their last four matches,  which put a noticeable dent in their 5-7 record  this season.
 Both  teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Fieldcrest will take on Tremont at 4:30  p.m.  on Wednesday. As for Deer Creek-Mackinaw, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Eureka at 4:30  p.m.  on Monday. Eureka hasn't scored more than two runs for six games straight, a trend the  squad is eager to reverse.
