Basketball Recap: Manchester Takes a Loss

Manchester extended their losing streak to three on Friday, dropping them down to 0-3. They came up short against the Wawasee Warriors, falling 59-36. The Squires were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Warriors apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2024.

Wawasee's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-2. They not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since December 7, 2024 (when they won 52-28).

Stephen Akase went supernova, shooting 83% from the field to rack up 23 points and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaden Andrew, who posted ten points.

Looking ahead, Manchester will host Tippecanoe Valley at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Wawasee, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against West Noble at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday.
