Volleyball Recap: Valhalla Takes a Loss

Valhalla lost against Steele Canyon back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Valhalla Norsemen fell just short of the Steele Canyon Cougars by a score of 3-2.

Valhalla actually scored more points across those five sets (109-106), but sadly they still had to settle for second. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 26-24, 25-23, 23-25, 17-25, 15-12.

Eric Dempsey paced Valhalla's offense, picking up 17 kills. Dempsey got some help from Gno Casanova and his 37 assists. Andrew Ramzi controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Valhalla's loss dropped their record down to 4-8. As for Steele Canyon, they moved to 3-4 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Valhalla will welcome El Capitan at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Steele Canyon, they will be playing at home against Mount Miguel at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
