Basketball Recap: Heritage Christian Academy Chargers vs. St. James Academy Thunder

After flying high against Kansas City Christian School two weeks ago, Heritage Christian Academy came back down to earth. The Heritage Christian Academy Chargers received a blow on Friday as they fell 61-47 to the St. James Academy Thunder.

Several Chargers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Spencer Cook, who went 5 of 11 on his way to 14 points and five boards. Another player making a difference was Trey Chambers, who posted 18 points.

St. James Academy had a senior duo take command as Jacob Fratzel almost dropped a double-double on 14 points and nine rebounds and Jake Kolich went 6 for 9 en route to 14 points and six boards. Fratzel also set a new season-high mark in steals with three. Noah Hornback was another key player, putting up seven points.

Heritage Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 4-2. As for St. James Academy, they moved to 3-3 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak.
