Baseball Preview: Woodland Bobcats vs. Fayetteville Wolves
For the second straight game, Woodland will face off against Fayetteville. The Bobcats will face off against the Wolves at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
Woodland took a 22-run loss the last time they faced off against Fayetteville, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Bobcats came out on top in a nail-biter against the Wolves on Tuesday, sneaking past 4-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Bobcats have posted since April 5, 2024.

Cade Cross spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on three hits and racked up seven Ks. He is becoming a predictor of Woodland's success: when he allows at most one earned run the team is 2-1 (and 3-13 when he doesn't).
At the plate, Andrew Sanchez was excellent, scoring a run while going 3-for-3. That's the most hits he has posted since back in April of 2024. Eden Ray also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.
