Football Game Preview: Liberty Hill Panthers vs. McCallum Knights

Liberty Hill has gone a perfect 3-0 against McCallum recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Panthers will head out to take on the Knights at 7:30 p.m. Liberty Hill knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 31 points or more in their past six contests -- so hopefully McCallum likes a good challenge.

Fans were treated to a battle of the Panthers on Friday. Liberty Hill simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Pflugerville 70-23. Considering Liberty Hill has won four games by more than 37 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Liberty Hill's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Pierre Dylan Belinga, who rushed for 210 yards and three scores while picking up 13.1 yards per carry. Dylan Belinga's rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 132 rushing yards. Jack Travis Pitchford was another key rusher, rushing for 122 yards and a pair of TDs.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Liberty Hill was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 590 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 378 rushing yards in four consecutive matchups.

Meanwhile, McCallum narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Pflugerville Connally 36-34.

McCallum's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 4-3. The road victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 44.3 points over those games. As for Liberty Hill, their win bumped their record up to 5-2.

Everything went Liberty Hill's way against McCallum in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, as Liberty Hill made off with a 78-57 victory. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was the Knights' Luke Dunham, who threw for 501 yards and five touchdowns, and also rushed for 131 yards and a pair of scores on only eight carries.
