Basketball Recap: Marcus Flagg's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Gloucester City over Haddon Township

Gloucester City has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They fell 50-42 to the Haddon Township Hawks on Tuesday. The Lions were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Hawks earlier this season, when they won 54-42.

Gloucester City lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Marcus Flagg, who posted 11 points in addition to seven rebounds and six assists. Another player making a difference was Jake Smith, who had eight points and six boards.

Gloucester City's defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 6-1 and their overall record down to 12-5. As for Haddon Township, their win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-6.
