North Myrtle Beach waltzed into their match on Monday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They never let the Myrtle Beach Seahawks get on the board and left with a 7-0 win. Considering the Chiefs have won eight contests by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Fisher Nichols looked comfortable as he kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out six over four innings pitched. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Gabe Priest was a standout: he scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. Trevor Mitchetti also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

North Myrtle Beach's victory was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-4. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.2 runs over those games. As for Myrtle Beach, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-13.

North Myrtle Beach will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Seahawks: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
