Clovis's game last Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They walked away with a 6-2 win over the Hobbs Eagles. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Wildcats also won the last time the pair played back in April of 2024.

Clovis' victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 11-10. As for Hobbs, their defeat was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 7-16.

Clovis will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Eagles: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
