Baseball Recap: White Oak Takes a Loss

White Oak might've scored the first runs on Friday, but it was Tatum who claimed the real prize. The Roughnecks fell just short of the Eagles by a score of 6-5. The defeat continues a trend for the Roughnecks in their meetings with the Eagles: they've now lost four in a row.

Logan Langewisch was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he tossed six innings while giving up just two earned (and three unearned) runs off seven hits. That's the fewest earned runs he has allowed since back in March.

On the hitting side, Jordy Robertson made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two runs and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Braden Callens, who went 1-for-2 with three RBI.

White Oak's loss dropped their record down to 16-8-1. As for Tatum, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 14 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-6 record this season.

White Oak does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Tatum, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 23-0 win against Sabine on the 22nd.
