Softball Recap: Braden River Takes a Loss

Braden River lost against Bradenton Christian on March 3rd, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. Braden River came up short against Bradenton Christian, falling 23-8. The Pirates have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Braden River saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Seleighna Elizondo, who went 2-for-3 with four RBI and one double. Those two hits gave Elizondo a new career-high. Jolie Banks also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.

Braden River's defeat dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Bradenton Christian, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-5.

Coming up, Braden River will face off against Southeast at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Braden River's pitchers better be ready for this one: Southeast has averaged an impressive 12.2 runs per game this season. As for Bradenton Christian, they will be playing at home against Canterbury at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Canterbury will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each contest than the last.
