Football Recap: Dominic Giglio Key Part of Team Effort in Wildcats Win

Hanover Central won the last time they faced Kankakee Valley and things went their way on Friday too. The Wildcats walked away with a 17-7 win over the Kougars.

Hanover Central's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Dominic Giglio, who rushed for 71 yards and one touchdown. The Wildcats also got a significant boost from Isaiah Buikema, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 102 yards.

Hanover Central picked up their first home win, bumping their record up to 2-3. As for Kankakee Valley, their defeat was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-5.

Looking ahead, Hanover Central will head out to challenge Munster at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Kankakee Valley, they will host Culver Academies at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Eagles will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more points each match than the last.
