Football Game Preview: Pisgah Dragons vs. Raleigh Lions + Official Tickets

The Pisgah Dragons are taking a road trip to challenge the Raleigh Lions at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Pisgah is headed into the contest out to prove that what happened against Union on Thursday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Dragons were outmatched by the Yellowjackets and fell 35-6. While losing is never fun, the Dragons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Mississippi football rankings (they are ranked 203rd, while the Yellowjackets are ranked 71st).

Meanwhile, Raleigh entered their tilt with Jefferson Davis County on Thursday with eight consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with nine. They took down the Jaguars 40-22.

Pisgah's loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Raleigh, their record now sits at 9-1.

Pisgah was dealt a bruising 28-0 defeat at the hands of Raleigh when the teams last played back in October of 2024. Can the Dragons avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
