With a playoff win on the line, Newell-Fonda rose to the challenge on Wednesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Coon Rapids-Bayard Crusaders 71-40. The Mustangs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 15 matchups by 22 points or more this season.

The victory (which was Newell-Fonda's third in a row) raised their record to 19-4. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 37.3 points. As for Coon Rapids-Bayard, they moved to 17-5 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Coming up, Newell-Fonda will take on Springville at 6:45 p.m. on March 5th. One thing working in Springville's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last nine contests. Coon Rapids-Bayard does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
