Zeigler-Royalton proved they can win big last Monday (they won by 15) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Christ Our Rock Lutheran Silver Stallions, sneaking past 2-0. Winning may never get old, but the Tornadoes sure are getting used to it with their sixth in a row.

Zeigler-Royalton's victory was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Chase Cole, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Zeigler-Royalton's win was their eighth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 15-2. The team dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 7.1 runs. As for Christ Our Rock Lutheran, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-7.

Looking ahead, Zeigler-Royalton will face off against DuQuoin at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
