Preview: Parkland Mustangs vs. Mount Tabor Spartans
After two games on the road, Parkland is heading back home. The Parkland Mustangs and the Mount Tabor Spartans will face off at 7:30 p.m. on January 17th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Parkland has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
Even though Winston-Salem Christian scored an imposing 58 points on Saturday, Parkland still came out on top. Parkland took their contest against Winston-Salem Christian 69-58.
Parkland got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was SaMaurie Moses out in front who scored 16 points along with three steals. That's the first time this season that Moses scored 15 or more points. Another player making a difference was Brock Jackson, who scored 14 points along with four steals.
Meanwhile, Mount Tabor entered their tilt with South Stokes with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Mount Tabor walked away with a 64-52 victory over South Stokes on Saturday.
Parkland now has a winning record of 8-7. As for Mount Tabor, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season.
