Alexander Central had to kick off their season on the road on Monday, but they showed no ill effects. They skirted past the Draughn Wildcats 3-2. For the Cougars, this counts as revenge for the 3-2 victory the Wildcats walked away with the last time they faced one another back in August of 2024.

The match was a true back-and-forth as no team won consecutive sets, but in the end it was Alexander Central who won the one that mattered. The final score came out to 25-19, 20-25, 25-20, 24-26, 15-10.

Coincidentally, Alexander Central and Draughn will both be playing Foard the next time they take the court. The Cougars will host the Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, while the Wildcats will head out to face them at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
