Basketball Game Preview: Proctor Phantoms vs. White River Valley Wildcats

The Proctor Phantoms will square off against the White River Valley Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The squads are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Proctor has struggled recently with 14 defeats in a row, while White River Valley will arrive with three straight victories.

Last Thursday, Proctor ended up a good deal behind Sharon Academy and lost 44-30.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask White River Valley). They took their contest on Tuesday with ease, bagging a 69-18 win over Woodstock. The Wildcats have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven matches by 21 points or more this season.

White River Valley's victory bumped their record up to 10-3. As for Proctor, their loss dropped their record down to 0-12.

Things could have been worse for Proctor, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 55-36 loss to White River Valley in their previous matchup back in January of 2024. Can Proctor avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
