Football Game Preview: Eden/North Collins Raiders vs. Medina Mustangs

Eden/North Collins hasn't had much luck against Medina recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Raiders will look to defend their home field against the Mustangs at 7:00 p.m. Eden/North Collins has given up an average of 36.8 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Eden/North Collins is headed into the game out to prove that what happened against Barker/Royalton-Hartland on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Raiders came up short against the Bulls, falling 50-24. The loss was the Raiders' first of the season.

Eden/North Collins might have lost, but man, Brady Waring was a machine: he rushed for 107 yards and a pair of TDs on only eight carries, and also threw for 181 yards and one touchdown. The bulk of those rushing yards came from one huge play: a run that gained an incredible 59 yards. Silas Nellis got in on the action too, returning a kick for a touchdown.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Medina). They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat Kennedy 56-6. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest win of the season.

Medina's victory bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Eden/North Collins, their defeat was their first of the season and also makes their record 3-1.
