Basketball Recap: Franklin Pierce Beats Foss for Their Tenth Straight Victory

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Franklin Pierce). They blew past the Foss Falcons, posting an 87-36 victory. The win was familiar territory for the Cardinals who have now won ten matches in a row.

Leading Franklin Pierce to victory were Javon Barbee and Hakeen Collins. Barbee dropped a double-double on 31 points and 11 rebounds, while Collins went 12 for 21 on his way to 25 points and eight boards. The game was Barbee's 17th in a row with at least ten points. Jimrac Newmann-Godful was another key player, going 6 of 8 en route to 12 points and three steals.

Franklin Pierce smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 20 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive boards in 20 consecutive contests dating back to last season.

Franklin Pierce's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-3. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 33.4 points. As for Foss, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-10.
