Basketball Game Preview: Blackford Bruins vs. Delta Eagles

Blackford hasn't had much luck against Delta recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Blackford Bruins will welcome the Delta Eagles at 7:30 p.m. Blackford is coming into the game hot, having won their last four games.

Blackford is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They snuck past Monroe Central with a 68-63 victory on Saturday. The win was all the more spectacular given the Bruins' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 235th, while the Golden Bears are ranked 97th).

Meanwhile, Delta didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Pendleton Heights on Friday, but they still walked away with a 44-40 victory.

Delta's win came from a few key players Blackford will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Jordan Furney, who went 5 of 11 on his way to 10 points in addition to six rebounds and four steals. Another player making a difference was Bronson Edwards, who posted 13 points and eight boards.

Delta's win bumped their record up to 10-3. As for Blackford, they have also been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season.
