Basketball Recap: Vernon Hills Wins Going Away Against Northside

Vernon Hills picked up another tournament win on Thursday. They were the clear victor by a 51-31 margin over the Northside Mustangs. That's two games straight that the Cougars have won by exactly 20 points.

Vernon Hills has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season. As for Northside, their loss dropped their record down to 5-7.

Vernon Hills and Carmel will face off at 3:00 p.m. on Friday without much rest having both just played. Vernon Hills is facing Carmel at the right time seeing as Carmel is stuck on an eight-game losing streak. As for Northside, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Payton College Prep at 5:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025.
