Laredo LBJ had already won six in a row and they went ahead and made it seven on Saturday. They came out on top against the Edcouch-Elsa Yellowjackets by a score of 2-0. The Wolves have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Yellowjackets, too.

Edcouch-Elsa's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Alliyah Ramirez, who had 20 digs and one assist, and Timara Leal, who had 16 digs. Ramirez has been hot, having posted 11 or more digs the last five times she's played. Leila Castillo also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

Laredo LBJ's victory bumped their record up to 13-4. As for Edcouch-Elsa, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-6.

Coming up, Laredo LBJ will welcome SA Roosevelt at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Edcouch-Elsa, they will head out on the road to face off against Rivera at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
