Staunton came tearing into Thursday's match with seven straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 19 points) and they left with even more momentum. They escaped with a win against the Broadway Gobblers by the margin of a single free throw, 58-57. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 56-36 last Monday.

Staunton pushed their record up to 13-2 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 71.0 points per game. As for Broadway, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last nine contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-11 record this season.
