Basketball Recap: Fairview Starts Season with Victory Against Prairie View

Fairview took care of business in their home opener on Tuesday (and then some). They breezed by the Prairie View Thunderhawks to the tune of 58-17. The game was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Knights had established a 35 point advantage.

Leading Fairview to victory were Olivia Soto and Chloe Hickory. Soto posted 12 points along with seven assists and six boards, while Hickory went 7 of 13 on her way to 18 points and three steals. Those seven assists gave Soto a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Rylee Bennett, who put up eight points and four steals.

Fairview didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 53-39 victory against Lakewood on the 5th. As for Prairie View, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 54-21 loss against Summit on the 5th.
