Baseball Recap: Alleman Takes a Loss

Alleman lost against East Moline United last Monday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Pioneers fell just short of the Panthers by a score of 7-6. The Pioneers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Alleman saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Will Bowers, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI and one double. Gavin Awbrey was another, scoring a run while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Alleman's loss dropped their record down to 9-5. As for East Moline United, they pushed their record up to 7-6 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season.

Alleman didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 5-4 victory against Limestone on the 10th. As for East Moline United, they have also already played their next game, an 11-6 win against Dixon on the 12th.
