Baseball Recap: Atlantic Coast Picks Up Fourth Straight Win at Home

While Atlantic Coast's victory against Englewood wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Atlantic Coast Stingrays had just enough and edged out the Englewood Rams 2-1. That's more bragging rights for the Stingrays, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Atlantic Coast saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Delvin Haskell, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.

Atlantic Coast pushed their record up to 6-4 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Englewood, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Atlantic Coast will venture away from home to take on Paxon School For Advanced Studies at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Paxon School For Advanced Studies will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something Atlantic Coast surely won't give up without a fight. As for Englewood, they will head out on the road to challenge Fletcher at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The last three games Englewood has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
