Softball Recap: Alcorn Central Comes Up Short

Monday just wasn't the day for Alcorn Central's offense. They took a 3-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mooreville Troopers on Monday. The Bears have struggled against the Troopers recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.

BryLee Price spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four runs allowed (all of which were unearned) on five hits.

Alcorn Central now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Mooreville, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Alcorn Central has already played their next matchup, a 15-3 loss against Corinth on the 25th. As for Mooreville, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 2-1 defeat against Hamilton on the 25th.
