Basketball Game Preview: Brookwood Warriors vs. Deerfield-Windsor Knights

Brookwood is on a six-game streak of home wins, while Deerfield-Windsor is on a nine-game streak of away wins (dating back to last season): one of those streaks is about to end. The Brookwood Warriors will host the Deerfield-Windsor Knights at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Brookwood will bounce into Tuesday's game after beating Maclay, who they had gone 1-6 against in their seven prior meetings. Brookwood put the hurt on Maclay with a sharp 54-34 victory on Thursday. The Warriors have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 13 contests by 20 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Deerfield-Windsor earned a 49-36 win over John Milledge Academy on Saturday. Given the Knights' advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 73rd, while the Trojans are ranked 422nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Deerfield-Windsor's victory bumped their record up to 15-1. As for Brookwood, their win bumped their record up to 19-1.

Brookwood took their victory against Deerfield-Windsor in their previous meeting two weeks ago by a conclusive 50-24. Will Brookwood repeat their success, or does Deerfield-Windsor have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
