Stone won the last time they faced East Central and things went their way on Friday too. The Tomcats came out on top against the Hornets by a score of 5-2. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Tomcats.

Kellan Burge spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered two runs (both of which were unearned) on four hits and racked up 11 Ks.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Ayden Obenhaus, who went 2-for-3 with one home run and two runs. That's the most runs he has posted since back in February. Another player making a difference was Nolan Scott, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and three RBI.

Stone's victory bumped their record up to 11-7. As for East Central, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-10.

Stone will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Hornets: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
