Football Recap: Peru Find Success

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Saranac, Peru was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They walked away with a 21-14 win over the Northeastern Clinton Cougars. This was payback for the Nighthawks, who suffered a 64-13 loss the last time these two teams met.

Although Northeastern Clinton took the loss, they still got scores from Peyton Scott and Maddie Arno.

The victory got Peru back to even at 1-1. As for Northeastern Clinton, they dropped their record down to 3-3-1 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road.

Coming up, Northeastern Clinton will be playing in front of their home fans against Moriah at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Peru will be paying especially close attention to the Cougars' game: after the Cougars face off against Plattsburgh, they'll take on Peru again at 7:30 p.m. on May 7.
