Basketball Game Preview: S & S Consolidated Rams vs. Pottsboro Cardinals

S & S Consolidated is 0-10 against Pottsboro since January of 2015 but things could change on Friday. The S & S Consolidated Rams will head out to challenge the Pottsboro Cardinals at 7:30 p.m.

S & S Consolidated is headed into Friday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their 15th straight game on Tuesday. They had to suffer through a 91-23 loss at the hands of Leonard. While losing is never fun, the Rams can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1621st, while the Tigers are ranked 606th).

Joe Orr was S & S Consolidated's leading scorer, having posted five points. Orr also led the team in assists with four. Donaven Gingras held things down on the boards with six rebounds.

Meanwhile, Pottsboro had already won six in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 19.5 points) and they went ahead and made it seven on Tuesday. They were the clear victor by a 70-44 margin over the Bulldogs.

Pottsboro has also been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 19-7 record this season. As for S & S Consolidated, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-21.

S & S Consolidated took a serious blow against Pottsboro when the teams last played back in December of 2024, falling 101-35. That game was all but decided by halftime, at which point S & S Consolidated was down 53-26.
