Softball Game Preview: Arrowhead Christian Eagles vs. Colton Yellowjackets

The Arrowhead Christian Eagles will square off against the Colton Yellowjackets at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. The timing isn't great for Arrowhead Christian: they have been struggling with three straight losses at home, while Colton has snatched up nine consecutive wins on the road.

Arrowhead Christian lost 17-6 to Linfield Christian on Thursday.

Arrowhead Christian saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Emma Ebnit, who went 2-for-4 with two runs and two RBI. Another was Jade Dabbs, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one RBI.

Meanwhile, Colton unfortunately witnessed the end of their 12-game winning streak on Thursday. They took a 9-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of Lancaster.

VALERIE VARELA made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of MALEAH JUAREZ, who went 2-for-4 with one run and one double.

Colton's defeat dropped their record down to 20-4. As for Arrowhead Christian, they now have a losing record of 10-11.

Friday's matchup might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Arrowhead Christian has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .479. However, it's not like Colton struggles in that department as they've averaged .512. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
