Recap: Loveland Red Wolves vs. Mountain View Mountain Lions
The Loveland Red Wolves had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Mountain View on Saturday and snuck past 62-59. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Trey Olsen was his usual excellent self, scoring 17 points along with five assists and five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Zayne Desouza, who almost dropped a double-double on 11 points and nine rebounds.
Despite the loss, Mountain View still got an impressive performance from Dylan Garland, who scored 22 points. Another player making a difference was Keegan Amans, who scored 11 points.
Loveland's victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 8-12. As for Mountain View, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-12.
Loveland will be staying on the road on Monday to face off against Northglenn at 7:00 p.m. on February 12th. Hopefully Loveland focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 18 on Saturday. As for Mountain View, they will head out on the road to take on Northridge at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Northridge will be up against Mountain View's rather soft defense (which has allowed 56.06 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive showing.
