Volleyball Recap: Armijo Comes Up Short

Armijo was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Foothill Mustangs. The Royals were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Mustangs earlier this season, when they won 3-2.

Armijo started the match hot and won the first two sets, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 19-25, 22-25, 25-12, 25-21, 15-10.

Armijo's loss dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Foothill, their victory bumped their record up to 8-5.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Armijo is set to face off against their familiar foe Burbank at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Foothill will take on rival Fairfield at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
