Baseball Recap: Jemison Continues Home Dominance on Thursday

There's no place like home for Jemison, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Wednesday. They had just enough and edged out the Thorsby Rebels 4-3 on Thursday. For the Panthers, this counts as revenge for the 11-8 win the Rebels walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February of 2024.

Jemison pushed their record up to 8-5 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.8 runs on average over those games. As for Thorsby, their defeat ended a nine-game streak of away wins and brought them to 14-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Jemison will welcome Fayetteville at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Thorsby, they will take on Autauga Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Thorsby is facing Autauga Academy at the right time seeing as Autauga Academy is stuck on a five-game losing streak.
